why i’m so upset regarding work

i’ve had the flu for a few days now and yesterday i could not find someone to cover me (i called other stores too) so i had to go in to work. i walked into the backroom to see about 25 boxes full of new stock which needed to be put away. there were two people working, the keyholder (beth) and a sales associate (samantha).

i came in at 2pm and stock should be finished by 12:30-1pm. samantha has not been taught how to shift the back room which needs to be done to fit the boxes. they’re all put away alphabetically so if there’s no space, you need to move boxes back. that’s time consuming and complicated. someone who hasn’t been taught how to do it can’t do it as they’ll mess up the back room further. no one has been able to teach samantha how to shift because our manager has only scheduled her working with a keyholder in the morning and there must be someone out on the floor helping customers ALWAYS. she would need to be taught how to do it in the back room so we can only teach her when theres three people working.

i walked into the back room and it looked like this: (i took a photo because i was shocked)

that was only half of the boxes too… the people closing the store are not supposed to put away boxes as they’re supposed to already be done because we have to deal with other things (helping customers, cleaning the store etc).

so sick as a dog, i had to put away boxes with an associate who only came at 6pm. we were not done with the boxes until 9pm.

our district manager was coming in the next day so we had to clean the back room, clean the washroom and mop and vacuum the floor. apparently the floor wasn’t cleaned to my manager’s expectations so i’m going to be written up along with her.

this will be my third write up (my manager has something against me god knows what) and i could be fired because i did not perform to my fullest while sick. my manager is also pissed off that she had to cover my shift today because i had to call in sick.

yeah so i’m furious
